A B2B Inquiry Website Checklist: Eight Information Groups to Prepare
International buyers need to assess products, capabilities and the working relationship. Prepare eight information groups: products, applications, facilities, quality, delivery, customization, contact details and policies.
Products and applications
Organize categories around how buyers search, not only internal departments. Give priority products a name, purpose, key specifications, available options and limitations. Application pages should explain selection and link to relevant products. Avoid repeating the company introduction on every page. Start with accurate concise information where necessary and expand it as evidence becomes available.
Facilities and quality
Describe real production or service processes, distinguishing in-house work from partner activities. Verify equipment, team and quality information. Check certificate holders, validity and scope instead of implying that one certificate covers every product. Where details are not public, offer a way to request documentation rather than substituting unrelated stock imagery as evidence.
Delivery and customization
Explain minimum quantities, sampling, customization approval and how delivery estimates are established. If lead time varies, describe the factors and confirmation process rather than promise a fixed date. List required drawings, specifications or quantities, and clarify whether technical review precedes a quote. This helps both sides assess fit and reduces repetitive questions.
Contact and policies
Make primary contact options visible and test each on a phone. Forms need clear outcomes and a reliable handoff to sales. Prepare the policies appropriate to your actual business, with responsible review of applicable requirements. Launch checks should include languages, broken links, image loading and error pages, not merely the desktop homepage appearance.
