New Website Indexing: A Search Console and Sitemap Checklist
A sitemap helps Google discover URLs but does not guarantee indexing or rankings. Start with accessible, useful pages and internal links, then submit and review Search Console feedback.
Check the preferred URLs first
Choose the preferred HTTPS host and check the homepage, blog index and representative articles. Verify that important content is not accidentally marked noindex or blocked by robots.txt, and that nonexistent URLs return an appropriate error. Keep language versions distinct and related. Exclude staging, unfinished and unnecessary duplicate URLs from the production sitemap.
Submit through Search Console
After verifying the appropriate property, submit the production sitemap through Search Console. JUJING uses https://jujingchuhai.com/sitemap.xml. Review fetch status and discovered URLs, and investigate access or XML errors where reported. Keep modification dates honest rather than changing them repeatedly to make unchanged content appear newly published.
Inspect representative pages
Inspect the homepage and a representative article in each language. Use the available live-test and indexing-request functions where appropriate, without treating repeated requests as a speed guarantee. When a page is not indexed, examine the reported reason and review access, canonical choice, duplication and usefulness. Adding keywords alone is unlikely to resolve those issues.
Support discovery with useful structure
Make articles reachable through ordinary links from navigation and the blog index. Connect related tasks with contextual links and point to relevant services. Continue improving pages with genuine customer questions, examples and accurate information instead of focusing only on article count. Google determines indexing and ranking; the site team can maintain clear, reliable and useful resources.
